this is totally possible and it's purely a config issue in virtuemart nothing to do with giftregistry

you create a new payment method (i called mine 'pay in store' but you can call it whatever) then just configure that payment method to be address only/cash on delivery from the options provided.

then all you need to do is make sure that payment method is the only payment method enabled for your virtuemart

Can we set that up as the only option? Is it possible to disable to checkout feature without disabling virtuemart? We do not want our customers to have the option to check out online. We only want them to be able to view the gift registries online and nothing more. They must come into the store to actually purchase the items.
